Q: Problem using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 running Windows 95 or NT.
In some cases Windows 95 and Windows NT machines using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 will not allow PageCharmer/PageCharmer Pro applets to be run from the local hard drive. The problem is with Microsoft's Java VM which is used internally by IE 3.02 to run Java applets. The solution here is to simply download the latest Java VM (Virtual Machine) from http://www.microsoft.com/java/download/dl_vmsp2.htm. Simply click the link "I Accept" and the new Java VM will be downloaded and automatically installed in the browser.
Windows 95 and Windows NT machines using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0.* will not allow the use of an anchor tag within the HREF field of the LiveG-Map. If no #(pound) symbol is used within the HREF the page will load. If a #(pound) symbol is used in the HREF nothing will happen.

Q: Display problem using Netscape Communicator 4.01 on Macintosh
At the time of PageCharmer/PageCharmer Pro's release, there was a known cosmetic problem that only affects Macintosh users running Netscape Communicator 4.01. Some of the pop-up menus may look smaller than they should. This will not affect PageCharmer/PageCharmer Pro's operation in any way.

Q: Problems displaying some images using the LiveG-Button applet
On some of the early CD ROMs that were produced of the PageCharmer/PageCharmer Pro product there was an error in the HTML code for the LiveG-Button AppletSet'r that caused some display problems of four of the button images. This can be easily fixed by doing a find and replace within the file named "liveg_button.html". Simply open this file with any word processor and perform the following find and replace:
| Find |
Replace |
| cpnew_b_.gif |
cpnew_b.gif |
| cpnext_b_.gif |
cpnext_b.gif |
| cpprev_b_.gif |
cpprev_b.gif |
| cpprod.gif |
cpprod_b.gif |
If you've encountered this problem and do not care to perform the above mentioned remedy, simply ask us to send you the replacement "liveg_button.html" file, and we'll be happy to do so.
